This novel is about a character named Queenie Jenkins who is a 25-year-old Jamaican British woman who lives in London. She straddles two cultures and slots neatly into neither. After a messy break up Queenie seeks comfort in all the wrong places. And as she goes to one questionable decision to another, she finds herself wondering “What are you doing? Why are you doing it? Who do you want to be?”—all of the questions today’s woman must face in a world trying to answer them for her. Queenie is a relatable exploration of what it is to be a modern woman in today's world.

Mixed Match is a documentary on AmazonPrime that talks about the importance of mixed bone marrow donors. It is told from the perspective of mixed race blood cancer patients who reflect on their multicultural identities and their complex genetics as they search for bone marrow donors. And as they reflect and go through their journeys they explore the role race has in medicine. While this documentary was made in 2016 the importance and need for mixed bone marrow donors is still heavily needed.
