Artist’s Statement: Waterlilies only bloom for four days above the surface of the murky ponds from which they grow before they wilt, rot, and return to their watery graves. Their fleeting yet stunning bloom serves as a reminder to seize the day and live life to the fullest; we only have so much time to do so. People often find themselves going through the motions of life instead of truly blooming to their fullest potential, and these images are meant to reveal the beauty and prosperity of waterlilies that have lived their short lives exquisitely.
